Meet the Team
The IQ BackOffice team has more than 100 years of experience providing outsourced back office services to companies of all sizes across a range of industries. Our management team includes veterans of Deloitte, Accenture, Citibank, PeopleSoft, Ford, HP, Resources Connection, California Pizza Kitchen, CKE Enterprises and other leading firms.
Before joining IQ BackOffice as CEO, David Schnitt was Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of New Ventures for Resources Global Professionals (NASDAQ: RECN), a spin off from Deloitte & Touche that provides outsourced specialists in the fields of IT, HR, finance and accounting. Mr. Schnitt helped grow the company from scratch to more than $150 million in annual revenue in four years. Previous to this position, Mr. Schnitt founded and managed both of Resources’ Los Angeles offices and its National Information Technology practice.
While a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting, Mr. Schnitt advised and assisted clients in reengineering their finance and accounting functions, including the establishment of shared service centers, improving their operations, developing new strategy and business plans, and forming successful joint ventures. Mr. Schnitt has been responsible for the design, development and implementation of several significant consulting projects with budgets of up to $11 million and staff numbering more than 8,500.
He is considered an industry expert on outsourcing trends and the evolution of the virtual business. He has spoken at numerous conferences and has been quoted extensively on these subjects in both the business and technology press, and is a published author. Mr. Schnitt received a BA from Cornell University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, and holds a certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
Phil Jablonski is a seasoned information technology professional with more than twenty years of technology and business operations leadership in applications development, sales, customer service, and management.
Prior to joining IQ BackOffice as Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Jablonski served as Senior Director of Operations for Ledgent Inc., a business process outsourcing provider, where he was responsible for management of the firm’s national shared services center, implementing process improvements and daily financial operations, managing a department of fifteen accounting and training personnel, and overseeing quality control. He also led the development of the firm’s PeopleSoft financials and HRMS, portal delivery, and report delivery software environments.
Mr. Jablonski has extensive experience with PeopleSoft ERP implementations and client servicing. He has served as a PeopleSoft consultant to such organizations as Charles Schwab, Canon Computer Systems and Southern California Gas. Additionally, he led the PeopleSoft implementation teams for major IT projects at Sierra Systems Group, CKR Enterprises and ACE Parking.
Mr. Jablonski’s broad technical qualifications include: HTML, ASP, ASP.Net using #C, Workflow Applications, Fax Server Management, DBA and Server Management, ERP applications and reporting tools such as Sybase SQR, MS Visual Basic, Crystal Reports and nVision; database and operating systems ranging from MS SQL to PeopleSoft, and mainframe software and utilities including DB2/SQL, IDMS, CICS, COBOL II, FOCUS, DYL260/280, RPGIII, Assembler, Fortran, Panvalet, PCS/DBM, APL, VSAM and RSCS.
Peter Jimenez is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Global Operations. Peter has more than 25 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting Operations Management. He was with Citibank NA Manila for more than six (6) years as Senior Vice President of Citibank Shared Services overseeing the financial reporting operations of seventeen (17) countries within Asia and prior to that he was with Accenture Manila for eleven (11) years as Finance Director.
His years of working experience in IT consulting, business process outsourcing and shared services operations has given him the opportunity to manage multi-year financial planning and business operations cost modeling. He has as well driven a lot of Finance transformation initiatives in process reengineering, risk and control management and operational effectiveness. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant, and he graduated Cum Laude from Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila with a Bachelor’ of Science degree in Business Administration majored in Accounting.
Mr. Johnson is responsible for IQ BackOffice business development. He has more than 25 years of experience as a business manager and consultant.
Prior to joining IQ BackOffice, Mr. Johnson was Vice President (VP) of business development at RSM McGladrey and Quattro FPO Solutions where he led retail business development efforts for six years, with a focus on restaurants. He was responsible for developing sales and marketing strategy as well as strategic plans related to operational support for new business. In less than three years, Mr. Johnson grew the restaurant segment of the business from an $8 million start up to more than $20 million.
As VP Operations for Hardee’s Restaurants, Mr. Johnson oversaw all operations, advertising and purchasing for 30 Hardee’s restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin with average unit volumes of $1 million. He managed day-to-day operations; developed, approved and implemented all local and regional advertising; and was instrumental in developing a purchasing and distribution co-op for the 100+ regional restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Mr. Johnson has also worked as a consultant with numerous senior management executives of national and international companies in the food industry, including Pillsbury/Green Giant Fresh, Golden State Foods Corp., North American Produce, ADF Company, Nekta International, US Foodservice, Sunkist Growers, National Beef Corp., John I. Haas, Jain Group, Chiquita Brands, B-50 Data Solutions and XFormity Technologies. As President/CEO of John I. Haas Foods, he took their dehydrated food processing company from a $4.5 million loss to breakeven while increasing sales from $4 million to $12 million in one year.
With more than two decades across various industries, Rei’s journey has been a humble pursuit of excellence, during which she has quietly amassed broad and deep expertise. Her work, spanning public and private accounting, finance operations, process improvement, system integration, and data connectivity, reflects a commitment to doing the right things right. Her philosophy is one of thoughtful problem-solving, automation, and pragmatic innovation. Rei’s consistent delivery of impactful results speaks to her ambition and dedication to meaningful, grounded success for all stakeholders.
Rei’s journey to IQ BackOffice follows an impressive five-year tenure with Netflix, where she made profound contributions to building out Studio Operations and Accounting and implementing Studio Operations Finance technology, alongside impactful work in Finance Operations. She demonstrated the power of automation and pragmatic innovation in an environment that continually chases novelty and an industry encumbered by manual processes.
Before Netflix, Rei was first in public accounting for six years and an assistant controller for five. From there, she pivoted into finance technology as a consultant for Sim International, where she was able to apply her extensive accounting background; her most significant contribution was implementing a new ERP system, including consolidating multiple entities, which involved master data management, as well as system migration and connectivity between accounting and ancillary systems. Rei’s meticulous attention to detail, commitment to efficiency, and dedication to clarity and simplicity in complex environments marked her as a trusted professional in her field.
Rei’s career is complemented by a spirit of collaboration and a belief in continuous, incremental improvement. Her philosophy aligns closely with our team’s values, and her diverse experience greatly enhances our capabilities.
Rei holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Accountancy) from California State University, Los Angeles, and is a Certified Public Accountant, underscoring her expertise and dedication.
Phylis Field is responsible for designing solutions that meet the needs of IQ BackOffice prospective clients. Ms. Field’s professional experience includes providing technical solutions at HSBC, a world leader in financial services with global presence in 100+ countries. As Vice President (VP) of Applications/Senior Director of Household Auto Finance (HAF), she was responsible for the business unit’s technology services support, managing a $38 million annual budget, which included 50 direct staff and project teams both in the U.S. and offshore. Subsequently, as Senior Director for Global Resourcing North America, Ms. Field provided technology support to HSBC North American business unit partners across the globe on technical solutions necessary to migrate a spectrum of banking and consumer finance operations to Group Service Centres (GSCs) in South and East Asia.
Previously, Ms. Field advised clients in operations improvement and managing enterprise-wide system implementation projects with multi-million dollar budgets for over ten years at Deloitte Consulting. Ms. Field left consulting to join Ledgent Inc., a pioneering business process finance and accounting outsourcer, as VP, Business Development, where she was responsible for strategic affiliate relationships and transitioning new clients over to the Ledgent solution.
Ms. Field has a BA from University of Pennsylvania, a BS from Wharton School of Business, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Ed is the Chief Technology Officer of IQ BackOffice, managing all software development and technology infrastructure. Ed brings over 25 years of work and leadership experience from various companies and industries across the globe, such as ICANN, Line 6 Inc., Oklahoma City Public Schools, WM. Wrigley Junior Co, EMAK Worldwide, Harman Consumer Group, Thomson/RCA, Crutchfield Corp. and the U.S. Air Force.
Ed’s background covers both business and technical functions. Within Information Technology, he has extensive experience in SAP and other ERP solution design and implementations, business intelligence architecture, business process management & automation, software design and development, as well as technology security and governance. Ed’s non-technical experience covers project management, finance & accounting, manufacturing and customer service operations.
Ed graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Virginia Tech and a MIM/MBA of International Management Thunderbird, the School of Global Management.
Sharif Elsherbiny is the Vice President of Implementation at IQ BackOffice. Sharif is responsible for implementing client solutions that require business process re-engineering and future state design, technical system expertise, and management consulting to align complex business goals with streamlined technology solutions. Sharif’s professional career spans over 18 years of management and leadership experience from Fortune 500 companies and management consulting firms, such as Boeing, KPMG, Grant Thornton, and 8020 Consulting.
Prior to joining IQ BackOffice, Sharif held roles of increasing responsibility at Boeing, beginning in a Business Skills Leadership Program – an intensive three-year rotational program focused on developing high potential college graduates into future company leaders – and ending as an experienced senior project manager managing multi-functional business areas while also tapped to lead specialized internal initiatives for executive management. While a Senior Consultant at KPMG, Grant Thornton and 8020 Consulting, Sharif advised and assisted with a range of Fortune 100 to 1000 companies to help them achieve their strategic financial and operational objectives, focusing on post-merger people, process and system integrations. Sharif has been instrumental in redesigning, developing and implementing client’s purchase-to-pay (PTP), order-to-cash (OTC), and record-to-report (RTR) company initiatives into world class solutions across a range of industries, including Aerospace & Defense, Manufacturing, Automotive, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Financial Services, Private Equity and Entertainment.
Sharif graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and a MBA from The Paul Merage School of Business at UCI. In addition, Sharif is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Manager, and ScrumMaster.
Santhosh Ramachandran is the Director of Service Delivery and Operations at IQ BackOffice’s India Shared Service Center (ISSC) in Chennai, India. He is responsible for the overall delivery of Finance and Accounting services to our clients.
Santhosh brings over 16 years of experience and expertise in service delivery, process analysis & design, leading continuous improvement projects, business development & relationship management, transition & transformation and driving initiatives to deliver cost effective delivery management in a Global BPO and Shared Services environment.
He worked on multiple global technology and process implementation programs with large Global shared services & BPO companies such as Ford, Accenture, HP & Tata Consultancy Services. He is a six sigma GB certified professional with a Bachelors in Commerce and a Masters in Business Administration from Madras University.
Ms. Mata leads our Manila team in the delivering excellent, high quality services to our clients. This includes ensuring operational excellence and solid collaboration with the other operations teams in Chennai and El Segundo. She is responsible with bringing the right talent to complete our Operations Team in Chennai and ensure we continue to provide excellent services while absorbing new clients in implementation.
Ms. Mata previously worked with Infosys BPO Ltd., where she was an Operations Manager. She also worked with Xerox Solutions Philippines as Accounts Receivable Operations Manager for eight years. She graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, with a BS degree in Accountancy. In addition, Ms. Mata is certified as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.

Edward Beck is the Vice President, Implementation and Product Development, leading client implementations and process re-engineering efforts. IQ BackOffice partnered with Hair Cuttery in their acquisition of one of the largest chains of hair salons in the country with over 500 stores. IQ designed and implemented an entire state-of-the-art back office infrastructure in 30 days including a new accounting system, EDI systems, payroll platforms for over 7,000 employees as well as all of the associated business processes and reporting. IQ saved Hair Cuttery over 80%, while providing best practice financial business processes and technology and excellent quality and services.
